These terms cover your use of the Vortex SC app. By creating an account you accept them. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy and the Parental Consent notice.
Vortex SC is the members’ app for Vortex Swimming Club. It is for our coaching staff and for the parents and guardians of swimmers registered with the Club. It is not a general-audience app and accounts are not open to the public.
Accounts are created by a parent or legal guardian. Swimmers under 18 do not register themselves. A guardian may give a swimmer access from their own account.
The app has a club feed and private messages between families and coaches. You are responsible for what you post there.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to post, send or share anything that is:
Because the swimmers here are children, we treat anything that puts a child at risk as the most serious thing that can happen in this app.
Every post, comment and message carries a Report control, and you can block any member so you no longer see their posts or receive their messages.
We review every report within 24 hours. Where a report is upheld we remove the content and, depending on what happened, warn the member, suspend them, or remove their account from the app permanently. Anything that suggests a child is at risk is escalated to the Club’s designated safeguarding lead immediately, and to the authorities where we are required to do so.
To report something outside the app, or to raise a safeguarding concern, contact safeguarding@vortexswimmingclub.com.
Training plans, body-composition entries, nutrition figures and assistant-generated suggestions in this app are coaching guidance for use by Club staff. They are not medical advice and are not a diagnosis. They must not be relied on in place of a qualified medical or nutrition professional, and no figure shown in this app is a target for a swimmer under 18 to pursue on their own.
Some suggestions are produced with the help of an AI assistant. Staff review them; they are a starting point for a coach, never an instruction to a swimmer.
The app keeps a record of Club fees and links to the Club’s own payment page. Fees are for in-person coaching at the pool. Payment is handled by the Club’s payment provider, not inside this app, and no card details are entered here or stored by us.
We aim to keep the app working and accurate, but we provide it as it is. We may change or withdraw features, and we may suspend access where we need to for maintenance or safety.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, particularly section 3. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
